Crowbits Launches Creative Electronic Blocks For STEM Learning on Kickstarter

Thanks to Elecrow, parents who are looking to interest their children in some fun but educational activities can now do precisely that with Crowbits, electronic lego blocks that have been centered around STEM education.

With the Elecrow campaign for Crowbits achieving outdoing its original goal by a mile, it appears that many parents and guardians have recognized the potential of the electronic blocks. With Crowbits, children can learn some of the most in-demand digital skills in the world while having fun. Some of these perks of playing with Crowbits include graphical programming, python programming, hands-on STEM learning, endless ways to use the electronic blocks, and their compatibility with lego.

A few parents and backers have identified Crowbits as the perfect gift item for their wards. By connecting the electronic blocks together, kids can create fully-functional gaming consoles, phones, tech-savvy cars, radar systems, machinery, and more with no coding required.

Crowbits is based upon Arduino, ESP32, Micro:bit Programmable STEM education blocks for kids. These are little magnetically linked blocks that snap together when joined. The system also incorporates Letscode, a graphical programming software where users simply drag and drop elements to create new products.

“The way that we see it, STEM is more important than ever before, and we want children to learn about it and practice it. That way, the next generation can progress more quickly onto the more complex topics,” said David Chu of Elecrow.

The Crowbits package includes multiple main controller modules, input modules, and output modules, with over 80 modules to pick from, wherein circuit systems can be created with LEGO-compatible blocks. In all, there are five kits (Hello, Explorer, Inventor, Creator, and Master), and more than 70 PBL lessons.

Students aged 3-14 years old can play with Crowbits and work on projects, solve problems and think creatively in a step-by-step manner. They can mix and match these blocks with their LEGO blocks too. There are three levels of difficulty as well to make learning progressive: Electronics and engineering, computer science, and the Master level for building fully functional products.

Crowbits has been launched on Kickstarter to raise funds and welcomes all donors and participants to help create this novel system wherein children can be taught at an early age to learn science, technology, engineering, and math with fun, while also building their creative imagination.

This is useful as an extra „camera man“ during an interview process to provide an extra moving camera angle, or set it up to capture a moving shot when you aren’t exactly sure when the action will start, let it run for a bit and choose the best moving shot.

MOVING TIME LAPSE: Use the backlit LCD screen and EASY MENU to change modes to TIME LAPSE and set a desired time frame of 2 – 60 minutes. The PROTO-HAROLD 1.1 does the math and will travel from one end to the other, slowly accelerating, reaching full speed, decelerating and smoothly coming to a stop within the time frame selected. Once done, it will park and then ask to run a second time in reverse.

FEATURES:

  • Light Weight and Portable (under 2 pounds / under 1kg)

DrawBo introduces innovative personalized robotic drawing tutor for kids

DrawBo is a compact AI-backed personalized robot drawing tutor that assures a safe, comfortable, and highly engaging drawing class for kids.

How about a drawing teacher for your kid that can teach your kids tirelessly and endlessly for hours? How about a drawing class at the comfort of your home yet without the harmful radiation of virtual classes- while maintaining social distancing? Sounds too good to be true, right? Well, a California-based dynamic tech firm, DrawBo, has recently launched an innovative personalized robotic drawing tutor for kids that will help them learn at the safety of home, without the radiation effects of on-screen classes. Titled „DrawBo,“ the AI-backed robot is strategically designed to inspire creativity in little ones and enhance their focus.

The FIRST of its kind, DrawBo is a palm-sized intelligent robot developed based on state-of-the-art technologies and insights derived from educational psychologists and child art teachers from all over the world. It is strategically shaped like a cute bright butterfly to attract the attention of little ones. The robot works in tandem with the DrawBo smartphone app.

„Kids today spend most of their waking hours before the screens, which exposes them to severe harmful radiation from screens. The current pandemic has made matters even worse by limited children’s movement to indoors and on-screen classes only. In such a gloomy scenario, our robotic drawing tutor DrawBo arrives to create a creative and refreshing educational experience for kids of all ages- from the comfort of home and far away from radiation of online classes“, stated Somnath Singh from DrawBo.

„With our intelligent palm-sized drawing tutor robot, your kids will find a teacher who is never tired of teaching them. Moreover, DrawBo assures a comfortable drawing class for kids without worries of commute-time to art classes, peer pressure in drawing schools, and radiation from on-screen virtual classes.“

Operating DrawBo is as simple as 1-2-3:

  • The DrawBo mobile app is bustling with thousands of images to choose from, including figures of famous kid movies and cartoon characters.
  • Once the user chooses one image, it gets uploaded into DrawBo’s memory through Bluetooth.
  • Next, DrawBo deploys AI technology to split the image into simpler curves and lines to make learning easier for kids through multi-step education.
  • As the robot starts drawing, the child needs to follow every step the robot takes to learn the drawing.

DrawBo would stop at every step, offering sufficient time for the kid to copy the step and learn the pattern before marching to the next step. Being an intuitive tutor, DrawBo considers the complexity of each step and determines the pause time accordingly. Users can even set their preferred pause-time settings through both manual and automatic settings.

„DrawBo is designed with care to awaken the artist in your child and give wings to their imagination. The images given are categorized into different levels to choose one as per their kids‘ skill level and age.  But such a high-tech product needs robust financial backup and hence this Kickstarter campaign. Your generous support will enable us to bring DrawBo to life and assure safer, comfortable, and more engaging drawing classes for kids.“

Backers will be rewarded with handy discounts on DrawBo. To show your support for the campaign, please visit Kickstarter.

VISTA Drone by Door Robotics Takes Flight on Kickstarter With a Fully Integrated 360-degree Camera

COLLEGE PARK, MD. (PRWEB) OCTOBER 21, 2020

Capture every angle from the sky with VISTA Drone, the first integrated 360-degree camera drone, from Door Robotics, which launched on Kickstarter today. Eliminating the need to jury-rig expensive cameras to gimbals and drones, VISTA Drone makes it easier than ever before to capture precise, beautiful, and captivating images from above.

No drone on the market today records 360-degree video without also capturing the drone itself in the frame. To create immersive content, aerial videographers and photographers have had to build unsafe custom rigs, attach third-party cameras or do extensive editing to capture high-quality footage. Not anymore.

VISTA Drone is the market’s first drone with a fully integrated 360-degree camera. It creates immersive aerial video without seeing the drone in every frame. In addition to its innovative design, the VISTA Drone also leverages autonomous navigation to learn, map, and adapt to any environment indoors or outdoors. Obstacle detection senses objects around the drone and keeps it from crashing during flight, letting the operator focus on getting the shot.

“I believe drone technology is the way of the future,” said Joshua Ermias, CEO of Door Robotics. “The VISTA Drone makes it significantly easier to create awe-inspiring, immersive content from every angle.”

According to Business Insider, the drone industry is expected to grow to more than $63 billion by 2025 with consumer drone shipments hitting 29 million next year. Enterprise and recreational-use drones are exploding in popularity as their uses become more widespread. From insurance to disaster relief, construction, journalism, and real estate, businesses are thirsting for ways to capture video and photographs of hard-to-reach locations or innovative viewpoints. The VISTA Drone offers what no other drone does: a 360-degree, “invisible drone” POV.

In addition to autonomous navigation, the VISTA Drone features a “follow me” intelligent flight mode that leverages GPS transmitter technology to turn the drone into a hands-free aerial camera crew. Object recognition detects small and large objects for premier pixel clarity. The VISTA Drone can take off and land on its own, creating a safer flying experience for any operator. If the battery should run low during flight, it will automatically begin to descend and return home.

The VISTA Drone’s 360-degree camera offers 8k resolution, a 78 Mbps bit rate, and captures 30 frames per second of video. Real-time video stitching is made possible with the camera’s two lenses—no more extensive editing to mend footage. VISTA Drone makes capturing 360-degree images and video automatic and precise.

VISTA Drone is available to pre-order at a significant discount starting at $899. Funds from the Kickstarter campaign will be used to manufacture the drones in America, and units will ship by April 2021. To pre-order, visit pr.go2.fund/doorrobotics.

About Door Robotics
Door Robotics believes drones are the future. Beginning in 2016, Door Robotics set out to improve the way people capture aerial video with drones. A grant from the University of Maryland’s Academy for Innovation and Entrepreneurship jumpstarted Door Robotics, and the team used that funding to create its alpha prototype. After tooling, software development, and testing, the VISTA Drone is ready for manufacturing. For more information, visit http://www.doorrobotics.com.

The Robots Are Coming… to Combat Sports Training

STRYK is Launching the Next Evolution of Combat Sports Training with its Unique Robotic Fighting Coach, RXT-1

Created by a U.S. Army Special Forces Veteran, the company’s innovative robot trainer is designed with four foam arms, a head target, and a torso pad option to help improve fighters‘ reaction time, mental processing speed, and hand-eye coordination.

SEATTLE, Sept. 23, 2020 /PRNewswire/ — The robots are coming to combat sports training with a new company, STRYK, https://www.strykusa.com/, launching its unique robotic fighting coach, RXT-1, promising the next evolution in fight training.

Created by a former U.S. Army Special Forces Explosives Specialist and a long-time combat sports participant, the company’s innovative RXT-1 robot is designed with four foam arms, a head target, and a torso pad option, and offers three different training mode options: Practice, Spar, and Combinations. The RXT-1 is not intended to replace human sparring partners but to complement such training through improving the users‘ reaction time, mental processing speed, and hand-eye coordination.

Think of it as man vs. machine to enable you to enhance your fighting skills. Or a sparring partner that never gets tired. The RXT-1 allows you to get in extra sparring rounds without risking injury while training at variable tempos, speeds, and attack stimuli you wouldn’t easily experience with comparable human partners.

„It’s truly a unique product. The RXT-1 strikes at fighters in a realistic yet unpredictable fashion. There has never been a striking pad system that hits back. There is only one robot fight coach in the world — RXT-1,“ said Brent Verdialez, founder and CEO of STRYK and inventor of the RXT-1. „If practiced with daily, users will notice results within a week. We offer the first physical human and robot interactive coach in the sports industry. The future of fight training is here today with our innovative robot coach.“

Top benefits of the RXT-1 include:

  • A human interactive training robot
  • Workout without feeling like its hard work
  • Learn to defend oneself
  • Improve cognitive processing, reaction time, reflexes, hand-eye coordination, memory, and visual processing speed, etc.
  • Get in shape

Additional RXT-1 product features include:

  • Ease of use anywhere – RXT-1 can be used at home, at the gym, in your garage, in a dojo, at schools, or anywhere it can be mounted indoors.
  • Three training modes — The RXT-1 has three training modes: Practice, Spar, and Combinations. In Practice mode, strikes are predictable and come every two seconds. In Spar mode, the robot strikes randomly according to the preselected level. In Combinations mode, RXT-1 will strike according to the combinations the user selects and the order they are selected. You can set the robot trainer to run for 1-12 rounds, and 1 to 3-minute rounds.
  • Adjustable speeds – Speeds for the RXT-1 can be adjusted from 20%-100%. The RXT-1 can strike up to five times a second, which means the robotic arm travels at a speed of approximately 40 mph.
  • Durable — As long as the body and the joints are not directly struck, the RXT-1 can potentially outlast a fighter’s career.
  • Affordable — When compared to costly and outdated training products currently on the market, RXT-1 is affordable and starts at $699.

STRYK has launched a Kickstarter campaign, https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/stryk/in-home-mma-striking-and-agility-trainer-the-rxt-1-robot?ref=4ozhzi, to spread awareness about the company’s affordable and revolutionary robot fighting coach, RXT-1.
